N - Necessity Excerpt from The Hyde, chapter titled “Necessity”, page 132.
１．The Apple
A ring that was inspired by the forbidden fruit. The stone used is my birthstone, a garnet. It’s rare to have one as large as this but since I didn’t really need it to be so thick, I actually had it shaved down much thinner, though it’s a waste [of the stone]. (laughs) As the design and direction [of production] of the ring consisted of going back and forth over the details for about a year, I really gave Tanaka-kun (who was in charge of it) a hard time. Thank you, I’ll treasure it.
２．Harakiri
The skull with stones gives it the classic feel that I like.
３．Pierce [Earrings]
I wear a pair on my ear, in the image of a vampire bite.*
４．Hesopi [Belly ring]
I couldn’t really find a belly ring that I liked, so I had one made. I like that it has a skull and crossbones.
５．Angel Heart
As I liked it when the demon in the movie Angel Heart wore it, I wore this ring for many years. However, as some people started using my name [without approval] to sell replicas of it, I started to dislike it and had the “The Apple” [re above] made.

スカルの表情と石が入ったクラシックな雰囲気が好き。

ドラキュラに噛まれたイメージで、耳に二してる。*
４．Hesopi
なかなか欲しいヘソピを見つけられないから作ってもらった。ドクロを身につけるのが好き。
５．Angel Heart
映画「エンジェルハート」の悪魔が着けていたって所が好きので、何年も着けてたけど、勝手に俺の名前を使って売ってる感じが嫌になって「THE APPLE」を作った。
*God this sentence was hard to translate because it… doesn’t make that much sense. Which part of two black studs looks like a vampire bite?
** I’m not dead! Have finally finished exams. I’m a final year med student whee! I hope I’ll have more time now to keep translating. Thanks for sticking with me <3
